Fantastic Dunny! I'm not familiar with this Clapton song but you sure make it sound good. Excellent vocal, excellent acoustic guitar tone and playing. I really enjoyed your outro acoustic lead!

I'm a huge fan of John Martyn's 'Solid Air' album where this comes from. It's such a great feel-good song, and you've made it even more upbeat than the original to my ears (have never heard the Clapton version) but retained all that lovely acoustic warmth and comfort. It's a great performance - great guitar, vocal, bass, and production choices. That ending - just gorgeous acoustic lead playing. Wow!

This is superb. And I'm already onto the third listen.

Congratulations!
I didn't know the song, not even John Martyn (Clapton, yes, of course...)

so I listened to Clapton's and John Martyn's version on YT ...and your version is great...

It respects the original version without trying to cahnger no=i the melody, nor the rhythm,...it's the way I like the cover which is a kind of homage to a song as it was originally written.
I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

Life is not about the number of Breathes you take, it is the amount of times your breathe is taken away

I approached this cautiously. I am a huge John Martyn fan, saw him live several times in his heyday and Solid Air was (and still is) one of my favourite albums. I've never hear the Clapton version, so this was like a new version to me. And fortunately, you did a great job here. This keeps the spirit of the original but has a different take. It's beautifully done and your vocals are great. Really enjoyed this, well done!

JP it is very nice that you take the time you do to listen to the original and the other versions....and the SC version becomes that much more important to you.  That is very special... I see from your postings that you are a thoughtful and kind person!  I really like those qualities alot!
