TC... I direct input the drums from my Alesis Nitro kit that I play into my BR1600... stereo.  so I use two tracks and bounce them to a stereo channel.  I started with a metronome to do the basic guitar track.  Then I added some bass and did a rough of the drums... I tried "building" a drum sound by hitting one drum at a time and recording it but I ended up trashing that idea...could not make that work..... so I recorded this literally at least 25 times (the drums) that I was somewhat satisfied with).  I also added an extra kick drum in parts and a few cymbals I think...it is very close to a live take....
I like banging on things but am very novice on the drums...but I have gotten better and believe I can reach more....just because I like to....kind of like everything else...it takes effort and practice...

here is a photo of my drums... a bundle of happiness for around 375

This is a nice heavy track, I got a bit of a Rush-y feel from it because the tempo is a bit more prog than straight up heavy rock. There's a lot going on here but you handled it really well, you got a nice punchy feel to the overall track and the guitars sound great (some nice lead work in there). I think you did really well with the drums, I started off down a similar track with Alesis Performance Pads but gave up as I found it too hard! Vox sound good as well, overall this is a really great track. Very nicely done!

I get the Iron Maiden vibe off this too. The tight riffing is great - ominous and heavy. 'Just Love'... yep. Great work.
