I know 64 said to pick band songs that really shine for the person who passed and Ric Ocasek doesn't even sing this one. However he did write it and it was the most successful single for the band, and probably him...so I think it qualifies. Kala Archtop Tenor Uke, A/E bass, cocktail kit drum set, Traveler Electric guitar(solo), Ipad for piano & synth.
1 uke/vbocal (stereo)
1 JC chorus rhythm uke
1 distorted rhythm uke
1 A/E bass
1 drum set(stereo)
1 piano(stereo)
1 synth pad (stereo)
1 guitar solo(stereo)

First off Hook...great cover...really good job... your own touch to a pop hit but enough the same that it isn't hard to tell the song....

I loved the Cars....first two albums and then not so much...but I realize they made it bigger off some of the stuff I didn't care much for...but they sold alot of records....still for me the Cars will always be "Moving In Stereo",  "Bye, Bye Love",  all the stuff on the first 2 albums "Alot on My Head."
To me Rik was to the Cars what Roger Waters was to Pink Floyd and Ben Orr (vocally) was more of the David Gilmour....
IMHO the Cars first two albums could match up with just about any band first two ever....but hey, that is just me....

A great cover Hook! You played and sang it all well but the guitar solo was the highlight for me...smokin' my friend!

Sorry Hook. Ric Ocasek died September 15, 2019 so this doesn't qualify for Lost in 2020.

Great job though. I've always loved this song and you've covered it in a unique and interesting way. Well done!

Great cover, Hook. So many excellent parts to this - you truly made it your own. Sad knowing that both voices in The Cars are no longer with us.

Lots of tracks here..alot of instrumental input to mix..but it was done perfectly. The solo was ace but most impressive to me was your vocals...man i forgot how well you can sing. Really nice cover and great recording. Rock on Hook!
