Hi all, hopefully I've taken on board the comments regarding the vocal being too far back in the mix, I've been experimenting with mike placement. Hopefully this ones a bit better.
Hope you enjoy.     Willie

Rickenbacker 12 String, Fender Strat, Fender Precision and noises from GarageBand.

She blew into town like a hurricane
And all the men were staring as she passed
Never ever thought I'd see that girl again
Always thought that she was way too fast

She came and stood and looked me in the eye
And said woulda, coulda shoulda take her back
But I remembered all those tears I cried
And nights just praying for her back

Now maybe I'm some kind some kind of fool
But I can't let you hurt me anymore.

Instrumental

But I remembered all those tears I cried
And nights just praying for her back
Now maybe I'm some kind, some kind of fool
But I can't let you hurt me anymore.

Well she turned right round and there's not a trace
Nothing to say she's sorry on her face

Willie, this is another fine presentation of your signature sound! A good story line, the jingle jangle of the Ric 12, the melodic Strat lead, and your good vocal backed by a cool harmony....are always a winner to my ears. The vocals are placed well in the mix and I can hear them clearly. Well done!

I'm really digging that 12-string. It gives me a modern sound to a throw back fee.

It's spot on Willie, sounds great. IMO the vox are just where they should be in the mix and sound great as always. Love the chord sequences on this one, there's some really cool changes in there. Nice tasteful solo in the middle as well, another fab track from you.

I hope you weren't as unlucky in love in your life as most of the protagonists in your songs.....

StephenM

another Willie classic....big sound all around...and a good story... makes me wonder what you did all your life...either that or you have an amazing imagination...but hey...it's just a song right?

you can call me anything you like.  Just don't call me late for dinner

Greeny

Excellent. The songwriting, performance and production are all nicely poised and very easy on the ear. Enjoyed those excellent chord changes and lead guitar parts especially. Faded out a bit too quickly though!

Lurker

I love those guitar leads. Great feel and melody.

By the way, I wouldn'ta taken her back either.

Vanncad

Cool song Willie.
Sounds like some good ole' backroads beer drinkin' music to me.

Keep the song, but don't under any circumstances take her back.
