Watching the recent unpleasant scenes in Washington and discussing them in real time with the others, I suggested that we cover this song.

It's appropriate, today would have been David Bowie's 74th birthday.

Geir on guitar, Tim on percussion and backing vox with Emergency Lead Vocals (ORH is otherwise occupied but may make a late appearance), me on bass, keys and heavily constructed drums (Jarle too is otherwise occupied, see earlier caveat).

Tracks submitted on email and Bostick applied by me to glue the whole thing together.

We are here on Earth to fart around. Don't let anybody tell you any different

Great cover.. I'd only been listening to the original this morning then spotted it on here.

A fitting choice after what's been going on there since last summer.

I have to admit I was unaware of this song and I had to Google it for the lyrics. This is a very cool version indeed, love the atmosphere you created here and it hangs together really well. The keys in particular are fab, very effective. Tim did a great job on the vox, and this is a really good listen, well done guys!

Off to listen to the original now.....

The vocals are off the charts good....I could swear it was Bowie himself at times.....he must have been looking over your shoulder as you were songing Tim...off the charts good....great cover boys...but that vocal performance kills me.....sheeeet

Well sheeet...I just played this for my son Keith....he had the same reaction to the vocals.....stunning....its like Bowie singing from the beyond......the pure essence of Bowie pulled through the veil.....absolutley stunning man.......its not like a cover of Bowie or a copy of Bowie or caricature ....but the pure essence.......brilliant.....best thing I have heard tonight......

Certainly the America is in a dangerous spot at the moment and by extension the world. Joe needs to sort this shit out. Great performances by all on there - what a super lead vocal.
