I got a pair of Behringer C2 stereo mics for my birthday the week before Crimbo and for Crimbo i got a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 3rd Gen USB Audio Interface. Been in a bit of a fug, with no muse, inspiration or motivation of late. However i dragged myself to the MacBook with my new gear and forced this out.

It is what it is.

When you pull at that thread
And watch the world unfurl
Around you
Please don't pick at that scab
Leave it well alone
Or it will never mend
I need to keep it together
Before it all falls down
I've got to hold it together
Or we might just drown
When you take a wrong turn
And don't know which way to go
You feel lost in the world
Completely out of control
I need to keep it together
Before it all falls down
I've got to hold it together
Or we might just drown
In our sorrows
And our tears
In our sorrows
And our tears
You need to make some space
But you can't let go
And you hold too tight
You push away the thing
You want the most
Despite yourself
I need to keep it together
Before it all falls down
I've got to hold it together
Or we might just drown
In our sorrows
And our tears

Sometimes you just have to pull yourself from the funk and the stereo mics sound great seems to added a lot of clarity

Life is not about the number of Breathes you take, it is the amount of times your breathe is taken away

Thank you for visiting my FB MUSIC page.
I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

This is a fantastic tune, Jimmy James! Doesn't sound forced out at all, and the vocals are just perfect. Red Cola!! (If you can remember that)

Those things we take for granted - when we're young and immature - will surely return to haunt us when we're old and insecure

The vocals really sound more fab than usual. Those mics sound great, does this mean no more "For Nylon".....? This sounds like classic ORH, a dreamy backer (which sounds great btw) creating the ideal platform for some great vocals. Keep going despite the fug Jim.

The new equipment seems to have done it's job of pulling you out of the fug ORH. The new C2 mics and the Focusrite Scarlett interface must be working well also because your vocals are so clear and toneful. Well done on this dreamy song!

Test, test, one, two, three.....is this mic on?

Lovely clarity on the vox, great ambience on the panned guitars, and a nice punchy bass. This sounds great, James. Top quality songwriting as usual, but with a new level of production. It's a very mesmerising song - that bass has some great momentum.

Completely agree with this. I just love the background vocals here as well. Quite the return to form (and better).
