I Hear Music

(1) This primeval trail
Gets stranger at every turn
Tamping down the compost
With each and every step forward
(music interlude)
The redwoods tower
Like a New York skyscraper
With a thousand notes of music

(chr) I hear music in my head
It's whispering out a song
I hear music in my head
It's telling me to sing along

(2) As the water falls
The cool mist clears my mind
On it runs
Through a meadow to the sea
A million miles to be free

(chr) I hear music in my head
It's whispering out a song
I hear music in my head
It's telling me to sing along

(solo)

(chr) I hear music in my head
It's whispering out a song
I hear music in my head
It's telling me to sing along

Because the Hook brings you back
I ain't tellin' you no lie
The hook brings you back
On that you can rely

Brilliant shifting dynamics that go from mellow to metal in such a clever, organic way. This is big, ambitious songwriting and perfectly delivered. That middle section is guitar heaven, lol. The panned guitars give such width and depth. Superb stuff.

Ray Brookes

Always classy stuff from you, Farrell. This is a magnificent effort with fantastic production skills. Love the light and shade of the dynamics. Those guitars - jeez! Mixed and mastered to perfection. Great job; well done.

Listened to this at work today and again just now on my phone have to say this the mix is so good it sounds great on the crappy phone speaker and outstanding on the studio speaker and this is a sign of a great mix well done to both of you this one is now on my playlist

EXCELLENT!!! Cool intro and even cooler outro...but what's in between is killer. First off, i'm drawn to the darkness of it all...those metal guitar tones at the bottom are awesome...as are the guitar solos..but overall what really iced the cake was the great dynamics and wonderful mix and production. The lyrics fit like a glove Farrell and you sang it perfectly. Combining the two and you have a terrific tune here. 5 stars guys...time well spent!

Super stuff Farrell. Those guitars are HUGE. Love the song... that chilled verse gives way to a massive sound. Top vocal performance here too. Brilliant work guys.
