it's an auto bump especially for ODH, in apology of the banjolele, which is a really nice little instrument.
I don't know why the video is not reloaded here?....I put it on my last message

This was so much fun....really love your creativity here....you use so many instruments, you could be a surgeon..... and kind of funny too...that little plastic container you sing through... I guess that thing on your lap you play with the slide is a banjoele....it doesn't look that small.... and the bass you play is cool...The recording is excellent too...and your slide work is fantastic...I was going to say you don't seem to be into wind instruments...but the kazoo says otherwise....would miss so much without the video...thanks

Thank you Stephen

Quoteyou use so many instruments, you could be a surgeon...
Pendant mon activité professionnelle (phystherapist in a Burn Center), je travaillais souvent avec les chirurgiens au bloc opératoire...Ils m'apellaient Mc Gyver... ;D

quote]that little plastic container you sing through.
it's a 25cl plastic milk bottle with the bottom cut off to have an old radio voice effect.

quote]I guess that thing on your lap you play with the slide is a banjoele...
this thing I play on my knees around 2'15 is a washboard played with drum brushes, around 2'39 it's a dobro (guitar with resonator), the banjoele is around 0'29

Fantastic video and song JP! The kazoo and the plastic bottle mounted on the harmonica neck holder is a great idea! With your vocal technique and how you're playing/recording all the various instruments captures the authentic sound of the 1940s. The washboard with brushes is the "bee's knees".....an old expression that means very well done!

Test, test, one, two, three.....is this mic on?

I enjoyed that a lot. My favorite part is how you got the old 78 RPM record sound for the vocal with that bottle, what kind of bottle is it? It looks like a small bleach bottle.

I wanted to reproduce the effect obtained with a bronze megaphone that I had seen in the video I was inspired by.

....but as on the recording the effect was not marked enough I used an Equalize plug ins by cutting the high and low frequencies, as here with audacity, but we can do it with all DAW plug ins.
