Last Christmas (not the song), I asked for banjolele. I'm ashamed to admit I've never really used it.  So I decided to give it a whirl for a Christmas song.

I never really intended to do this one, but it captured my imagination.

Mud were a UK 70's kind of rock'n'roll / cabaret band, if you don't know them

FAN-TAS_TIC - I love a Christmas song.

It was brilliant all the way through but the ending was just priceless!

Merry Christmas.

An all-time Christmas classic, with Mud trying to do an 'Elvis'. This is a fab cover, and the banjolele really works. The spoken part is damn cool, and a nice little nod to Mr P at the end :-)

Brilliant.

It's great to hear a musician, who I already respected greatly, take to an instrument that I love so much so well. This is really nice, I love my banjolele but it's often hard to find the right place for it. Great tool for your growing Arsenal. Nicely done Nick.
Rock on brother!

Because the Hook brings you back
I ain't tellin' you no lie
The hook brings you back
On that you can rely

The banjolele works great in this song! I dig the nostalgic chord progression in this song. Well done on all accounts ODH!

Excellent, you had a good idea to give a chance to your banjolele the sound of the arpeggio is crystalline and goes well in the context.
nice work

I take this opportunity to make an auto bump, which I hope you'll listen to, where I use an authentic Gibson banjolelele from 1920,...it's the only vintage instrument I've ever played (actually it's my daughter's).

I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

Brilliant! Reminded me of watching this on TOTP when I was a teenager (yes I am that old). Great version, you finally did that banjolele justice. And about time.... ;)
