Just in from work and saw this https://songcrafters.org/forum/index.php?topic=30382.0 dropped everything to record a lyric that pretty much wrote itself. Glad to see you are better Kari.

It is what it is.

Sometimes we talk
sometimes we don't
and often we don't see each other for days on end
but when we get together
and we have fun
the rest of the world can just disappear

disappear
disappear

a lazy day in each other's company
doing nothing just being
until work raises it's ugly head
so off to the grind
we go again
wish it would
disappear
disappear

let's just put our boots on
and walk up the hills
never mind the weather it's only rain
free in the elements
wi the woman I love
wish we could just disappear
disappear
disappear
disappear
disappear

Some very pretty music/guitar work by Kari (I'm glad you are feeling better) and Jim, your vocal performance and lyrics are so heartfelt.....a fine, fine, fine song!

of course i really like James vocals... I haven't heard anything he sings yet I don't like...some more than others because of the song itself I suppose....but the music on this is so grand...its like wow...you have to be a really peaceful man to do this or at least in a very at peace place in yourself and the world...bravo...the sounds just lift me higher and higher, very healing... and this would make an incredible instrumental....but the lyrics really add to the feel of the song.... about deep friendship I would guess... and what happens when people who really care about each other see each other...

I had a go at this beautiful piece of music too a totally different approach to yours, excellent lyric as always .....it always amazes me the different directions one piece of music can take..... i think Kenny is having a go at it too it will be interesting to hear all the different versions

Great wishful and wistful lyrics, with heartfelt delivery.
Nice to hear different takes on the same music.
There are only three kinds of drummers. Those who can count, and those who can't.

Not enough nylon string around these parts.

Beautiful tune, nicely augmented by one of my favorite vocalists in the world.

Cheers.

Lovely song and well produced. Sometimes the simpler the better and this works so well. Nice vox too, James.

Absolutely magnificent. The vocal is stellar and takes the beautiful backer to a completely new place. Love that chorus so much, with the vocal following the melody of the guitar - it's sublime.
