Guitar, vocal, and whistling were recorded together on one stereo track with my new Zoom H2n in "mid-side mics" mode. Then processed in Reaper using Waves Q4 eq, CLA vocals, CLA mixdown, J37 Tape, and L1+ ultramaximizer.

extra points for whistling really nicely!  I love it...and I knew it was you when you first started singing because you have a nice and unique and interesting voice....good cover!

I love this acoustic version and the idea of the whistle is excellent to reproduce this gimmick characteristic of Clapton's interpretation.

I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

Wouldn't mind a pound for every time we finished an evening with this song. Nice job.    Willie

Hi - yes I had checked out your very nice version before  ;D  Your guitar and bass playing was very nice.   I may try a version with some kind of drums and lead guitar added.

Thanks for the feedback everyone

Hi - yes I had checked out your very nice version before  ;D  Your guitar and bass playing was very nice.   I may try a version with some kind of drums and lead guitar added since I'm not totally happy with my whistling.  I just did it that way because I thought what would one do if one wanted to perform the song completely solo and live.

Thanks for the feedback everyone

Great work Des, you really captured all elements of this performance well. Really nice version of this one and nice eq'ing! No boominess here, just lots of clarity.

Nice version Des, all the levels sound good to me. Got a lot of emotion in there, good stuff. Bonus points for the whistling!
