I recorded the Gibson straight with the SE Magneto condenser mic into the Scarlet and then vocal on seperate track you may hear the bloody dryer in the background if you listen carefully but this one had to be done there and then or i'd forget it. Guitar and vocal Thanks for listening
I know the truth
You say that you want to talk about it
You say you that you've got nothing to hide
You tell me that the truth burns with In you
And you just sit there bare faced and lie

Tell me why the sun doesn't rise for me anymore
Tell me what it is you want from me once more
I can hear the stars fall out from the sky
Die and rithe every time you lie
Baby don't tell me no more because I can't take it
Every word you've just said is a lie
Your just chasing the midnight oil into the light
chasing the midnight oil into the light

Baby please don't lie no more
Just tell me the truth, I can't take it anymore
I need to know, do you still love me
Do you still need
Do you still feel for me
You say that you want to talk about it
You say you that you've got nothing to hide
You tell me that the truth burns with In you
So why do you sit there and lie
I know the truth
I know the truth
I know the truth
I know the truth

Wow, this is a great song! One of your best I believe.

Love the drive, lyrics and vocals. Nice tone on the Gibson. Can't wait to play along. 8)

Those things we take for granted - when we're young and immature - will surely return to haunt us when we're old and insecure

Yes Trever, i agree with Hardlock...this was is exceptional... your vocals are amazing and the guitar sound is fantastic.... not sure why but the singing on here reminds me of the "Bat out of hell" album (meatloaf)....
here is a little something about lies
"The study, published in the journal's June issue, found that 60 percent of people lied at least once during a 10-minute conversation and told an average of two to three lies. "People tell a considerable number of lies in everyday conversation."Jun 10, 2002

What a great emotive song, Trevor. One of the best I've heard from you if not the best. That simple plaintive accompaniment is perfect and that acoustic guitar sounds so sweet. Excellent incisive lyrics too. Great job; well done.

Great song this. Neat and precise guitar work matching the clear-cut vocals. Good stuff!

Life is not about the number of Breathes you take, it is the amount of times your breathe is taken away

You hit the sweet spot with this song Trevor! I can't hear the dryer but I can hear why you needed to capture the song right at that moment. It would have been a shame to lose this one. Well done!

Well, in this case the lyrics are just as important as the music IMO. They really make this a powerful and emotive piece. It's also beautifully recorded. Trev, you do a fantastic job of capturing acoustic instruments and vocals in a way that keeps them crystal clear without losing any of their power. Superb song, superbly performed, superbly recorded.
