This our latest song that we have completed today.

For the first time I have not solely relied on the BR for Effects and used a Zoom B2 Bass Effect Pedal and a Digitech RP250 for the Rythym and Lead Guitar.

Used the Hip Hop Effect on the drums to try and make the song sound a bit funky!!

Went for harmonies on the chorus and thanks to everyone who provided helpful information on this subject when I posted the question recently.

Great song Andrew!!! Well played with good choice of fx. And LOVELY singing !!
A great voice and beautiful harmonies. The only thing I would have changed is to try to "open up" the soundscape a bit, .... just a minute .... hey it's mono !! dunno if it's a mistake or deliberate ..anyway I'd go for a stereo mix!!!

cheers

Thanks Geir, I'd love to say it was deliberate but unfortunately not as I am still getting to grips with the panning etc!! I did pan the guitars left and right, but kept vocals and bass down the middle, except for the harmonies which I double tracked and panned one left and one right

Remember not to pan a copy of a track L&R in hopes of getting a fat sound. It just comes across as mono.
You can, however, change one of the tracks (add a different effect for example) and it will work.
Some neat sounds going on.

I really like this! I especially dig the effects you use on the bass, as well the guitar. She has a beautiful voice. What is the name of your band? This is right up my alley guy's, I can't wait to hear more.

I think it's cool how the Vox Just cuts through that massive soundscape!

A song thats Clear and fuzzy at the same time?  Didn't think it could happen!

I think it just did!
Cool combo!!!!!!

I Love the Feel of this track!

Nice work with the Big drums and Bass!

Great track!!!

Peace

Heavy big heavy bass - very cool - with some neat guitars & fx!

The singing sounds great and fits this tune!

Try to make another mix, 'cause this one definitivly is mono, there's no panning of anything! I tried a "vocal-cut" function and ended up with silence! Would love to hear this great song the way you meant it to sound like !!

This is VERY different! Great arrangement and use of effects... catchy chorus... great harmonies... brilliant wah solo. It's all pretty excellent! Reminds me of Goldfrapp... kind of retro-dance-rock. Great post.

Man, it's tough to catch up around here - glad this didn't slip into page 2 on me!!

Just like Greg Brady said: "Groovy!". Like your singer's voice and the pedalwork was good, too.

I'm with Geir - widen that thing out and repost! It really deserves it.

Peace out,

Mark
