I Just Can't Get You Out Of My Head - Kylie Minougue

This is the song (the Kylie version) which got me back into making music in 2010. I first picked up a guitar in 1979, taught myself to play using Ramones and Clash records, then spent the 80's and 90's playing and writing almost obsessively. Then in 2001 I put down the guitar and didn't pick it back up again. This Kylie song was current at the time of the gulf war and there were daily reports of soldiers coming back through Brize Norton in coffins from Afghanistan. For some reason I associated this song with that and since then I've thought it would be a perfect funeral song. It was the thought of doing a funereal version which inspired me to pick up the guitar and get playing again. I never made that version, by the way.

Anyway all that has little if anything to do with this version of the song.

I never heard this song before...but it is very cool and a really good recording... I like you quit playing for a very long time like from 1993-2009 (started back on bass and then guitar again in 2014).... I liked your description of why you liked the song....cool stuff...

Brilliant Nick, a really unexpected take on this. You created a fab dreamy feel here, lots of nice effects that really meld the ukes and keys together without overwhelming the track. Just love how you put this together and created something totally different from the original starting point.
