Playing with the Roland SPD-11

The postman came and bought me a new toy a Roland SPD-11 i won on ebay for just £119 and this is my first play with it 10 tracks just to see what it could do ....and i must say i'm very impressed by it o n my first play

I didn't know what an SPD-11 was, and so I went looking online. By golly, I think I found something that could give oldrottenhead's Micro BR a run for its money...



Somebody on eBay is asking almost $300 for it! Crazy prices over here...

Great fun Trev, this is really quirky and original. Cool piece of kit, a bit like the Alesis Performance Pads I used to have (and I know Steve used to use those). Looking forward to seeing what you can do with this.

Why not?  neat work Reg... I plan to add my Alesis Performance Pad (similar to what you have here) to my Nitro electronic drum set...then I can add an additional 8 drum sounds.... I am trying to figure out how to mount them to my kit, where to set them etc... and the other problem is when I build a drum set on the PP and save it in user settings... if I turn it off and back on it doesn't save it...

I've been looking for a modern thing to hit with drum sticks.  Because hitting things with sticks is more fun than mashing on the pads of my Arturia BeatStep Pro. Although that is also fairly fun.
