The dense use of reverb gives it a Windham Hill Records feel to it – you know, William Ackerman, George Winston and those new age artists who elevated Muzak to a transcendent space in the 1980s. Beautiful stuff – even a prog-punk kid like myself had to admit it.

Reverb can be used as an "effect," but it can also be used as an "instrument," which is what you did here.

When I was first learning multi-track recording – on tape – at a community college in Arizona, our class made a fateful field trip to a recording studio in Phoenix. The two things I remember are: (1) The hauntingly beautiful new age music they were producing. I had never heard the genre before. It was the polar opposite of what I thought music should do – which is aggressively demand the listeners attention and challenge them to an intellectual battle (hence the punk-prog kid that I was). And (2), one of the engineers said, "This is not a career for someone who like to spend time outdoors in the fresh air and sunshine." I hadn't really gone too far down that career path, but in an instant I decided to go no further.

This has inspired me to take your jukebox for a spin.
