Locked down for the foreseeable so looking back - as you do.  Not too mawkish I hope... Macca's twin brother helped out on the vocals  ;)

Aww lovely and mawkish is such a good word.

Sorry you are on lockdown but on the plus side, there's more time to make music  ;D

really nice theme to a very nice song....well played and sang.... yes, there are times of our lives that are easier than others.... and in the end really what we think of life is actually mostly in our minds... our attitudes about it... I tend to be happy go lucky except on some bad moments.... but there is one thing all this is teaching me more than ever is how really precious our loved ones and friends are and that the isolation from them is somewhat torturous....

Very good tune Johnny... I like it and I am very ok with this kind of reflective vibe. Most of us have these kind of moments, thinking about the past and what it means. I guess it's about how much you are prepared to put into song to let others hear. Really nice.

Gorgeous sounds.
Lovely song.
Love those harmonies.
Mawkish - love the word, I tend to have a "it's not too mawkish, is it?" debate here on some of my stuff too - and this one definitely isn't too mawkish for me.

I think it's great. The guitar part inspired me to pick up my nylon string classical and try to do some sort of countermelody of a Peter Paul and Mary or a Simon and Garfunkel-esque nature.

Lyrically it's fantastic. I love your vocals and the little vocal harmony touches are really artfully understated, which is to say, I think they are great.

The melody is I think the greatest thing here, it's plaintive and sad, without being, what did you say? Mawkish.

Sometimes I think we SHOULD be Mawkish, but this is more reminiscent of those days in British Columbia where you wake up and it's cloudy, and then the sun breaks through some banks of clouds, and you get those crepuscular rays.  This melody has little lines of sunshine poking through those clouds. This comes across as authentic, and thus it can't be mawkish.

This is acoustic man and guitar at its best! Beautiful melody, well sung and played. Fine job with harmonies too...

The performance by you is very inspiring! I think it's time to listen to my MicroBR mp3 section where's a lots of acoustic song skteches...perhaps I could write a new song.

Really enjoyable listening!

Nice playing and harmonies, and poignant lyrics of a more idealistic time. Well done!
