3rd one from the hut, in this one i wear my heart on my sleeve, every word in the lyric is true. This one is for the one i love.

It is what it is.
I met you through my brother
In a discotheque
Got you up on the dance floor
And our eyes met
I pushed you up Kilbowie Road
In a shopping cart
We were stopped by the polis
They said you can't do that

And I love you

You told your mother 'bout me
Seems she knew my dad
They both worked together
When I was a lad
You told her I was blonde
But I'm afraid I was grey
Grey hair is better than nae hair
Well so they say

And I love you

I took you out bowling
On our first date
You had oil on your jeans
But you still looked great
And when we met the next time
I picked you up from work
I saw your legs for the first time
You had on a skirt

And I love you

Well your dad had me sussed
From the very start
He said why don't you live together
In your sister's flat
Well thirty years later
And here we are
Two daughters and a dog
And a few guitars

And I love you
And I Love You

It is what it is and it is very good... I have to admit I love the accent.  The lyrics are personal and touching... music is real nice.... I will have to go ask someone though what "sussed" means....
Anyway 2 daughters, a dog, and a few guitars here you are...  same flat too?

you can call me anything you like.  Just don't call me late for dinner

Very nice emotive song, ORH. Love that atmospheric backing and the plaintive vocal is the icing. In case anyone else is not sure, "sussed" is a UK expression meaning worked out or figured out.

Not easy to talk about yourself in such a simple, direct way...chapeau!

P.S. you and Llesley are a wonderful couple!  :)

No we lived in that flat for a year. My wife's sister bought it as she was getting married the following year, so we lived in sin there for that year. Lol.

Nice spacey guitar and autobiographical lyric .. should get you some good browny points

This was really compelling listening and very lovely. Makes me think of my life with my husband  ;D

It's obvious in everything you do how much you love your wife and this is no exception.

Take a bow.
