She never needs to compromise
Strips paint with a simple cut of her eyes
As warm as a summer sun; as cold as a winter moon
Likes to relax with a book on a rainy afternoon

She lays tables cooks our food
Laughs a deeper laugh for humour rude and crude
I'm never sure what she's thinking or what she feels
A kiss and a smile for every little wound she heals

Every broken toy fixed up as good as new
And the woman you love
Can do the funniest things to you

This woman carries so many roles
Solutions always there within her folds
Picks up the dreams and schemes that I just leave behind
So loved, so loved, so loved, so loved that woman of mine.

Wise, shrewd, astute yet still a little child
Calm tranquil placid yet still a little wild
Understands so much and very rarely shocked
In the blink of an eye
You can be blanked out; you can be blocked

Every broken toy fixed up as good as new
And the woman you love
Can do the funniest things to you
The woman you love

I really enjoyed this tune.  In many ways reminds me of my wife.  Has an answer for everything.  Your music captures the feeling quite well.

Great song, Ray. Creative lyrics and excellent music.
There are only three kinds of drummers. Those who can count, and those who can't.

First off Ray...I'm a big fan of your songs... I think you are off the charts talented...as are some others on SC but totally different than yours.... I absolutely love the guitar work... so great... at 1:54 and on for a bit your  "bridge" reminds me very much of the perfection of Toto....like in, sometimes it's not what you play, or say, but what you don't... the lyrics I like alot and your singing is perfect... there is one thing that bothered me a bit though (and geesh, who am I to critique you...lol).... it's the clapping rhythm....it went on too long for me... probably there are others who love it... that's the crazy thing about mixing, producing etc....what stays, what goes and almost any song if you gave all these tracks to 20 different producers you might get 5 that are similar.... as I said at the start...your stuff is off the charts

I think thats is an incredible song Ray , i am a fan of your work and  this is outstanding , the guitar work is just a solo piece by itself,  and you have blended the melody in with you vocal so well with the idea its a treat for the ears , it was a joy to listen to it and reflect on my "better half"  the song moves you into thinking, which what music should be all about , very well written and structured , with top of the shop musical skills .

Well done Ray. The acoustic guitar takes on a droning affect but the counter of your melody fits in perfectly to keep it lively. Great lyric and vocal phrasing......cool bass!

Brilliant Ray... a really lovely song. It surprised me a bit, not sure what I was expecting by the title, but the tempo surprised me I think. Lovely production, all those gentle guitar touches are crystal clear. Great stuff.
