Instrumentel Fest...

I purchased "Midi Guitar" software for Garageband as I've always wanted to try guitar synth stuff... ever since I saw Al Di Meola way back I think. This software is pretty decent I think. Basically it enables you to play any of the Software instruments that come with Garageband through your guitar. No latency that I can detect and a piece of piss to set up. The only bummer is it comes with some great presets of it's own but you can't record these in Garageband for some reason. I think you need to purchase the slightly higher price version that comes with VST plugins.

Anyway... this is my Mexican Strat playing all sounds here bar the drum. One washy synth thing panned left and right, one "Erhu" (never heard of it before either!) in the middle... and one new world drum type thing.

All done on guitar that,s amazing, the mind boggles as to where you could take this software , but you still have to play the guitar at the end of the day , and you have made a great job of the composition , very earthy and atmospheric , great stuff
