Hey all, just noticed this part of the forum thought I would seek yet more advice!
I'm a big fan of the Beatles and I love some of the guitar tones on a lot of the records.
Do any of you guys have any settings you can recommend?
I own Fender strat so can only work with that to try get close, but I'd like to try get close to their Epiphone Casino tone, and even the nearest I can get with a single coil to George Harrisons Gibson SG sound.

If anybody does have some tips it'd be quite handy knowing which song you think the patch sounds like, e.g the solo from Octopus' Garden, or the 3 part solo on "The End" etc.. followed by the settings.

Cheers Guys,
I look forward to hopefully getting some suggestions!

Although I havent tried yet, Id suggest starting with one of the Vox amp models and tweeking it till you get what your after. I say this cause the Beatles played Vox amps...then if it breaks up too much then turn down the preamp and raise the amp volume to clean it up...then youre gonna want it kinda jangly so lower the bass and mids and raise the treble to taste, you shouldnt even need the other effects like compression or flange...maybe some light delay or chorus, but Id think reverb would cover it.
Hope this helps and gets you in the ball park...if I get a chance I will try and build a Beatles model, but Ive got other irons in the fire right now....but I really think the above suggestions should get you to where you wanna be.

Confirmed, the "Vo" models are very Beatles like...with next to zero tweeking.
And I thought "cleanly" sounded very Octopus's Garden to me...both on a Strat.

I haven't really tried to get a Beatles tone as such... I just aim for a sixties-sounding Beatles / Byrds 'jangle', which works best with my Telecaster through a number of different pre-set effects. One of my favourite combinations is my telecaster going through the AmbCrunch patch. I haven't tried looking at the Vox amp model separately but definitely will now. I think it's also a case of WHAT you play as well as the tone that will give you a Beatles vibe.

Having said that, if there was a pre-set effect that could give me the exact Abbey Road (especially 'Something') Harrison tone, I'd be very happy!!!!
