So - you thought Easy Tiger was unusual?  Try Nothing Here.

I sent Trevor a strange little tune and asked if he could do anything with it vocally.  I wasn't sure it was possible - oh ye of little faith!

This was another challenge to mix.  I ended up with over 80 tracks.  Madness - but I love it!

Paul

Nothing here but love

Is this all you had to say
When you talked to me today
I can't see the games you play
Is it that you with your minds astray
I stand here in dismay
Do you really want to go astray
Then please go without delay

You know that, this ain't the way
That it will all carry on day after day
So baby please just look in my eyes
And you'll see something you can't despise
cause you will love me

Come on lets go back in time
Lets run lets go faster than we sun
Turn back turn back the dial
Turn back the dial
Turn back the dial

Well you could run faster than the sun
But you  can't undo every thing you've done
Looking back bites you bad
And you won't know how long the pain will last
Cause life isn't like a book
it doesn't butter all the things up
There's not word thats  mis-understood
There's nothing there but love

Discontented people do not know which way to go
They get lost on this terrible road
But someone has to say ........

Break

Love is the way love is the right way
Love is the way love is the right way

Theres nothing here, but love

Certainly unusual, Paul; you guys would've had heaps of fun putting this together. 80 tracks??? Jeez, I would've ended up in padded cell.

Great job with the backer - sounds a bit to mix between techno and prog rock, nice twists and turns!

Excellent job with vox, too. The chorus is sooo catchy!

Bravo guys!

80 tracks!!!!

that's a lot of tracks. I mean an awful lot of tracks.

But worth it, so inventive, great recording, producing and  singing, playing, everything.

Cracking.

This is super creative. Trevor not sure how you managed to make this work vocally but you sure did. In fact the vocals are taking this great piece of music to the next level. Love those short repeating vocal samples... well done lads.

Great Collab guys , your imagination is off the scale with this composition , very creative and totally effective in its delivery , pro track from Paul which is what he does , and a vocal of Trevor and words which is the icing on the cake . Great stuff lads

Incredibly creative. Love the music, and it seems Trevor cannot be stumped. Great vocal effects.
Reminds me of something The Tubes might have done.
There are only three kinds of drummers. Those who can count, and those who can't.

Wow and double wow! I was not expecting this, very different from Paul's "normal" stuff! It grabbed me from the off with the quirky, uptempo rhythm and then Trev's vocals came in.....another wow! And then the changes at "let's go back in time" section and the break blew my mind. I just love the treatments you put on Trev's vocals, they are really clever and add a whole other dimension to the track.

It's quite simply amazing and one helluva a trip. Well done both of you. Although I would say 80 tracks is about average for a song....... ;) :D
