I like your melody a lot. And your vocal. It feels genuine and heartfelt.  This one packs a pretty big punch for a minute(ish) long song.

Crumbs, that's gorgeous.

I'm getting into "short" recently, there's someone on alonetone who does really short songs or "statements" and they are stunning (he's told me why he does it, and it's not quite so the "mark of genius" that I had imagined and was eying with much envy, but... what the hey! ).

Sometimes it's all you need to say. And adding more can actually hurt it.

I've listened to this one several times now, and it would be ripe for what they used to do (probably still do, but I can remember some Buddy Holly songs, for example, that do this... I think there's some early Beatles songs too) - mebbe not a 2 minute guitar solo, but a little interlude of some sort, and then... just sing it again!

When I was young, learning how to do songs,  I used to SO look down my nose at people who just "sang the song twice"
(In some cases, it was the producer just splicing two copies together!)
But actually it works so well - yummy concise message, some time to think about it, and then enjoy it again to get your money's worth.


Anyways, I'm liking this as it is. It's perfect. More words would mess it up.
