So this was written by a much younger Hook, probably 25 years ago or more. I always come back to this song every now and then, it's just fun to play. Don't think I have ever recorded it so here goes. Everything was mic'd with the Br80 on board mics at my desk in the bedroom, except precussion done in my garage.
1 guitar/vocal (stereo)
1 guitar(rhythm part doubled)(stereo)
1 acoustic bass(stereo)
1 baritone ukulele solo (stereo)
1 shaker egg & tambourine(stereo)
1 table top cajon(stereo)

Noah's Garden
Well it sits on the windowsill
for everyone to see
he only grows 2 Roses
he says one of them's for him and the other ones for me
well I don't know about that
but Noah seems to know exactly where it's at
he's always very mellow and his patience is long
he hears these voices and they're never wrong

they say passion people, relate
everybody it's time to procreate

Noah's kitchen while it doubles as a farm
cows and chickens all over the walls
you can't help but smile
at all the animals on the painted tiles
he has all these dreams about what should be
if we learn to accept our different chemistry
we can adapt and evolve
pass down our traits
if we learn that there's no such thing as hate

Noah's Ark well it sits on The Mantel
for everyone to play with
you can arrange the animals up in two by twos
even try to load them on the little model ship
well it's made of wood it should float real good
the waves are high we can ride the tide
And pretty soon we're going to fly

This is a very upbeat and joyful song Hook. It has that memorable sing along factor to it. Well done on the lyric, vocal, melody and all the fun instruments!

Dang that bass line is so damn.. well, hooky. It just draws the listener in. Everything sounds very clean. Is the reverb on the vocal the mic or an effect? It sounds good but I can't tell.
