(Sorry about the profanities folks.)

I first picked up the guitar when I was very young
To learn a few simple chords, didn't take that long
Then I learnt some riffs but something sounded wrong
I realised what it was missing in every song
I'll have a go at anything, folk, blues or funk
And I know that I play better when I get stinking drunk.

(Sunshine Of Your Love)

Got 'Smoke On The Water' an easy little tune
'Stairway To Heaven' learnt one lazy afternoon
The 'Day Tripper' riff I know I'll get that soon
Working through the psychedelic 'Dark Side Of The Moon'
I'll have a go at anything; jazz, rock or punk
And I know that I play better when I get stinking drunk.

(Stairway To Heaven)

I sent away a demo but still waiting to hear
If they like my playing after whisky, rum and beer
I'm waiting for their call but no one yet has phoned
Maybe I'll have another go but this time I'll get stoned
I'll have a go at anything; good bad or plain junk
And I know that I play better when I get stinking drunk.

Hahaha this song cracked me up Ray! Very creative how you put this all together. I think I'm gonna have a drink and listen to it again, lol!

I really enjoyed this for so many reasons - mainly because it reminds me of me playing live - I used to have a song where I did a lead break on the ukulele ::) and there's also a comedian that does a bad version of Stairway to Heaven, I tried to find a clip of it but it's not on Youtube.

Loved the funky start and the best bit - F*cking flute players . . .

Really well done - takes me back and I'm still there . . .

We need more funk on SC.

Funny and Funky, you got to love that!  You couldn't wipe the smile off my face the whole time I listened.  Very clever and well played. Bravo!
"Play because you love it. Don't worry about if it will ever make any money, just understand that playing is an end in itself, and you play music, it will make your life better. And, don't worry about being a star, don't worry about making money, worry about nothing, just sit down with your guitar and let it speak to you and that will make your life better. It will bring beauty into your life. It's a great thing to do."     ---- David Crosby

Ha this is clever.... we used to rate the bands locally by how many beers you had to drink before they sounded good.... a great band was maybe a 3 beer band.... in the Navy they used to rate how good ladies looked the same way....
and as far as the profanities...well, I was a sailor so....I still have a little of it in me...
as always...Ray top notch stuff.... and you have to be really good to be able to play stuff that bad and still have people know what you were playing... 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)

you can call me anything you like.  Just don't call me late for dinner

LMFAO!  You sound just like I do during one of my recording sessions for my own stuff (blue language).
Just proves that this is not as easy as some people think.
Great tune.  Your stuff is always colorful in one way or another, Ray.

Note to admin-We need a laughing emodicon here.

What's everyone laughing at? That's the way I play. Was there a problem?
This is great, Ray! I know I play badly when I'm sober... but even worse when I'm drunk.  :)
Great, fun song Ray. Really got a kick out of it.
There are only three kinds of drummers. Those who can count, and those who can't.

Lol brilliant, I used to think I played better after a few drinks when I played live in the band, until I recently seen some video footage.
Fu$k me it was embarrassing at one point.
This track had me howling at the track attempts.
A brilliant idea put together by a talented guy.
Well done sir.

Man brother, this is incredible. Kinda of a take on one of my favorite songs ever, "the piano Has been drinking" by Tom Waits but completely different and original also. Loved it!!!
Rock on!
