I came up with this one this afternoon its about loss just guitar and Vocal HB 12 string plugged straight into focusrite.........Thanks for listening

the old man thought he was king of the hill

As the breeze whistled in over the cliff through a thousand dead trees
And the man in the black said hey what did you see

Well the sun didn't shine, But the rain didn't fall
And the grey skies peeled back to reveal the blue
The old man wiped the tears from his eyes
As he opened the book to reveal the truth
The words spoke to him loud and clear
They told him it was the way of the world
To feel lost and totally unfurled
To feel lost and totally unfurled

The night came in  it was as black as soot
As he walked with his blistered feet
On a trek through history that would take him on a pilgrimage
Back to the place where they were first to
Where their eyes met up there on the cliff edge
as they wandered amongst all those young trees
Where the young man got down on one knee
and asked her, won't you marry me

Everyday is so special

Life just gets you old

Oh yes. Like it.

Hook mentions Mr Springsteen... and I can see it... BUT I can't really stand too much of Mr Springsteen, something to do with his vocal delivery leaves me cold and very bored very quickly... (this is just me, obviously, lots of other folks like him quite a lot!)

But this grabbed me from the outset, engaged me all the way through, I cared what you were singing about.
