The guy who played bass on this track, his cousin is a professional sound engineer and he once told me that when it comes to mixing and mastering to try and pan things as if you were hearing them as a live band so I tried that and it seemed to work quite well.

Thanks for all the kind words, hopefully have something else up by the end of this week :)

This is perfect for posting this weekend, what with the Neilfest going on and all.  It fits right in with the Neil Young vibe.  Very good job.  Your guitars sound great, perfectly panned and mixed.  There is lots of space in here.  The relative levels of everything are pretty much perfect, you have a good ear.

Very nice first post.  I'm not a huge fan of cavernous reverb, but I believe a wetter treatment on the vocals would make it "sit" better in the mix.  Mind you, that is just an opinion.

Again, very nice.

Oh well ........

Great stuff! There's definitely a laid-back seventies vibe here that really works. Production-wise, I think you've panned everything well, and the drums are well programmed. I'd take the volume up on the left-panned guitar a bit... it kind of gets lost in places. But it's damn good!!!!!

Great first post, I echo what everyone else said. Excellent song and a good overalll sound. I'd be tempted to pull the vox back a bit and give them a bit of reverb as Blooby suggested, as they stand a little out from the mix for me, but that;s nothing major. Keep them coming!

Cheers,
