Had a go at one of mr Bowies best

All recorded on cakewalk. Swapped over completely to pc and DAW, Spare room studio and finding it better..

Keys Alesis Q25 midi controller using xpand2
Two acoustic tracks with Aston electric/acoustic
one track Gibson les paul
Four Vox tracks

All fx built into cakewalk

Quite pleased with the result

I love the way you kick the vox up around 2:20 and then mix the backing at 2:40 ish... the reverb you have there really works nice...

What did you use on the guitar to achieve the sustainability?
Used to do this live,there are two versions and it used to mess with my head and I would occasionally fall into the other and panic lol
Im with Flash,one of the best songs ever written.

It was my alesis q25 midi controller with a synth vst doing the lead. I haven't got an ebow and I certainly aren't Robert Fripp ??
