This is an instrumental that goes from "My baby does the hanky panky" to an Alan Parson kind of ending...and everywhere in between.. I got a second BR1600 and this was the first time I operated them in tandem, synched by midi.  Works well but you better know the machine a bit.  I did the mix with the organ, flute, and lead guitars on bandlab (first time using a DAW).  As a musician it is hard to go from being musician to being the critical ear in production.  It is a tedious task.  I have learned to embrace it and enjoy it.  I could mix a song 50 different ways and to be honest there has been a few times I have done something close to that...at some point you have to bite the bullet and go with it.  The flute and organ are from a casio privia.

The name really fits this one. Production is spot-on as I hear it. I can imagine getting all those tracks to work together was a major chore.  Well done!

Those things we take for granted - when we're young and immature - will surely return to haunt us when we're old and insecure

What a cool groovy track! This sits so well, Steve and good instrumentation mixed perfectly to my old ears. I know what you mean by having to cope with production. For about 40 years I worked on the 'musician's side of the desk' and left everything to the producers/engineers. Since retiring I've had to learn about mixing, FX, EQ's, mastering, compression etc. and kinda wear two hats in my studio. I'm enjoying the ride though and maybe one day I'll get it right LOL

This was really interesting - I don't usually like instrumentals much, but I liked this one!

Innovative and definately not boring.

OH yeah this one works so well in many ways! I like the opening nostalgic guitar riff that keeps the song anchored throughout. I like the way it builds from there. The wah guitar and your playing is perfect for this style. Your comment about doing 50 mixes and finally having to settle on one, is right on and hit home with me. But you do know there is never ever a final mix, lol. I still revisit songs that I've done several years ago and remix them...that's the beauty (and ball 'n chain) of wearing all the hats. I think this mix works well!

Test, test, one, two, three.....is this mic on?

Nice instrumental work.  Everything works well together.  Nice combination of sounds.
Can't understand why towards the end, the organ gets real loud, then mysteriously cuts back.
