 - Say Grandpa, when's Christmas?
- Well my boy, it's in 97 days!
- so it's still far away :(

So, for the little boys who are burning with impatience, here's a little song for them (...and for the little girls too, ...and the old guys, of course)
For the occasion I recruited the Octavias ! of our dear  Tommy and I took out my Kazzo, and all guitars by JP
...and then I took my big bluesman voice soaked in alcohol and tobacco...
The excellent Tuba and the dixieland banjo are friends of BIAB.

Just before Christmas, I'll post the video, I promise. ;)

Farrell,
The french lyrics are quite similar to the text of the original song in English, see the translation of the French lyrics thon the scrollable box

It Takes Little To Be Happy
It takes little to be happy
Truly very little to be happy
We must satisfy our necessities
That we are given by nature
[like] Some honeycombs and the sun

I sleep regularly under the foliage
And all of the jungle is my home
All the bees in the forest
Gather nectar for me in the grove
And when I turn over a stone
I know to find the ants underneath
Try it, it's good, it's tender!

It takes truly little
Very little to be happy
To be happy

It takes little to be happy
Truly very little to be happy
Rid your mind of all your worry
Take the better path of life
Laugh, skip, dance, sing
And you'll be a bear well licked!

Pick a banana, yes, this has become ripe without joke
But it's all the tragedy if it's a cactus
If you pinch the fruit without the thorns
There isn't any pain to care for
But if you stole the fruit
It's full of thorns
It's not good, it is a lot
Yet it's small, do you understand?

It truly takes little
Very little to be happy!
To be happy?
To be Happy!

Oh my Lord, This is the good way to live!
Try to loosen up, yes, chill out, feel at ease,
Come onto my lap, and let me tell you something, little brother,
If you work like this bee, you will be ill,
Don't waste your time for the impossible
And if you can do the job, than it's much better for you!

And you will see that all is figured out
When one goes on with unnecessary things
Then you take more
It takes truly little, very little to be happy

It takes little to be happy
Truly very little to be happy
Rid your mind of all your worry
Yippee!
Take the better path of life
Laugh, skip, dance, sing
And you'll be a bear well licked!

And you'll be a bear well licked
Yippee!

Really sweet, JP. Couldn't help but think of Maurice Chevalier singing this. Well done.
There are only three kinds of drummers. Those who can count, and those who can't.

Thanks for the link and the Hook reminder, ...I usually consult the SC archives when I make a version...but this one had escaped me...EXCELLENT
