I stumbled onto a biography of Gordon Lightfoot on Amazon video with interviews of him (worth watching).  I wasn't actually too familiar with him besides vaguely recognizing a few of his top hits.  I decided I wanted to try this song.  It's strange how, although it usually takes me a while to learn a song, sometimes things fall into place quickly: I printed the chords & lyrics and quickly found my voice and favorite strum pattern seemed to fit, and I seemed to know the melody from deep inside my brain.  I overdubbed a picked guitar (riff I found tab for - didn't check original...sounded ok), then added some keyboard strings (improvised, only vaguely inspired by original).

admiral job...because this is one great song...that I have loved for many years...and to me this song captures Mr. Lightfoots career.  This is one of those songs that make you connect the emotion and sing along...because it touches a place in you.... I would say you did a very nice job on this...
