My wife heard this and said "that is not a dream, that's a nightmare!"  Well, this is a kaleidoscope of a few artists from here that allowed me to kind of modify their doings.... dreams can be good, bad, or in between and this "song" covers it all.  Dreams are weird, let's face it.  This is exactly that.  I got an idea while doing this to pursue a bit of collages of some folks on here.  I probably won't get this list right but it is made up of a couple of Hilary songs (Autumn Leaves and We Kissed), Ray Brooks (Snake In the Cradle), Mike S (Haven't You Heard?), Frank 53 (It's You), ORH (Bad Trip) and Flash Harry (She's Beautiful ), and Honker (The Road is Straight and True) Flash Harry...hope I didn't miss anyone.
I could have made this 12 minutes easily and I do this sort of thing with various bands stuff...except ususally its not quite as out there...like for example i did one with More Than a Feeling and Carry On Wayward Son.
at 1:30 this kind of gets to a point like on the Dark Side of the Moon album with the clocks thingy.  My favorite parts of this song is Frank singing (it's you haunting all my dreams, right after Hilary's voice) and Honkers (wednesday afternoon, tryin to get home ...22 cylists...),
This sort of thing actually works much better with songs from the same people... if nothing else this is interesting, I think anyway.  There were some more songs that i wanted to get in here but I just couldn't keeping it under 4 minutes.  So I will likely do another of these at some point..

Fascinating collage of member's music there, Steve. Would've taken ages to map it all out. Looking forward to the next one.

Well!
I had 2 things come to mind when I heard this- first, the opening scene in the movie, "Contact" when they are travelling farther from Earth in space and you hear the collage of music. (That was one Of my favourite movies btw)
2nd, I thought about that album George Martin's son did where he kind of collaged Beatles songs together, kind of a similar creative idea.
I liked it, and I think this idea has potential for continued exploration.
Thanks for including me, I am appreciative to be involved in anything people are willing to let me in on!

Very cool Steve, I really liked how you turned this into a very coherent collage. Although you can (obviously) hear the different tracks, there aren't major differences in volume and eq so the whole thing really works.

I like this more experimental kind of stuff and I really enjoyed this. Like you say, there are many moments where things come together in unexpected but rather pleasing ways.

Kinda reminds me of Revolution #9.
Congrats to all of the artists on this "collage".  Steve has made your songs sound, I won't say better, but different and it's always fun to be part of a musical experiment.
Looking forward to the "sequel".

Strange dream like state you've created there.
It must have made your head sore trying to mix this together.
I imagine if we sent songcrafters tunes out into space via a satellite transmission and someone caught the transmission on another planet and was trying to tune it in,it would sound like this.
Bravo.

Unique and so well put together. I can't remember anyone else trying a collage like this.
