Thought I'd try and have a go at some Gypsy jazz kinda stuff a la Django Reinhardt. He lost half of his left hand and he still played a million times better than me LOL For the violin sound I used East West QL virtual instruments.

when you get to the part with the viol it remind me of the soundtracks to some of those oldie tv shows like the 3 stooges and stuff like that...back then all those folks were great musicians... swell guitar picking right here.

ha...I often have the same thoughts....but if you are willing to carry the equipment and run sound and drive the van they'll let you stay...ha...or perhaps learn the bass...LOL..
