There's something about this intimate vocal that just feels right. I've heard that song a bunch of times and there are a ton of great versions. But I'm not sure many can come close to the honesty in this one.

Fantastic Hilary. One of the prettiest songs ever written in my opinion,  and you did it beautifully.

A beautiful song penned by Sting and your simplistic version does it credit. My vocals are pretty awful so I wouldn't even attempt a melodic song like this but you have performed it well.

What a beautiful version, Hilary.  Delicate but spot on.  You have a great voice.

I have grown so fond of your voice... and I kind of feel a little cheated this was a buck 39....lol... It took me along time to grow a grand fondness for all things Sting (and the Police)....  I am so glad that I took the time to really listen to you sing that first one I heard because i generally don't give 5 seconds to just a piano and a voice but I feel somehow connected to the folks on this site so in a way this is a bit like sitting i a coffee shop and listening to you and all the others I hear.  I do have a wide range of musical appreciation but usually I have to have a connection of some type to stay with it... other wise I need a lot of bells and whistles...but you and Trevor and some others have shown me just how nice it is to be that stripped down...but I think it takes a special willingness to hang yourself out there... I kind of hide behind the curtain of the wizard of oz....
as always...great work!

I did a collab of this on SC years and years ago. I had no idea how hard it was to sing, so I really appreciate how you nailed the vocal so well. It has a tendency to be a bit of a sickly-sweet song but you've made it real and honest: much better than a lot of the other versions out there. I love the directness and intimacy of the performance. Wanted it to go on longer though!

Fantastic.
