Well this was going to be an instrumental for the fest but then i started to hear a song and i was only just starting so i went in a different direction and came up with this .Thanks for listening
ANOTHER DAY COMES
Yesterdays youth seem miles away
As age creeps on day after day
Life isn't what it used to be
And no I'm not looking for sympathy
I'm stating a fact a scary truth
As one day comes another ones falls

Another one falls

I look to the horizon to find a way
Through this maze of thought that comes to me today
Its taking me out on a ride alone
Into my mind and away from home
Thinking about the loved ones gone
Another day comes and another one falls

And another one falls

Blistered and burning from the heartbreak news
That another ones gone and there's nothing you can do
You stand alone with the grief you own
it rains and pours filling your soul
Desperately you want the truth to lie
To tell you its not goodbye
As another day comes and another one falls

and another one falls

Yesterdays youth seem miles away
As age creeps on day after day
Life isn't what it used to be
And no I'm not looking for sympathy
I'm stating a fact a scary truth
As one day comes another ones falls

Another one falls

Another  one falls

Wow - powerful stuff Trevor.  Love the piano. the lyrics are great and I have always admired your vocal delivery.

Ain't it the truth. I guess it's all downhill from here.  :o
Excellent lyrics, and the monotonous piano figure is perfect for the message of the lyric. Well done.
There are only three kinds of drummers. Those who can count, and those who can't.

Superlative writing with deep incisive lyrics that a lot of folks on this site will relate to, including me. The sparse production with the repeating piano line accentuates the powerful theme of the lyric and the vocal is first class. Great work, Trevor; well done.

I enjoyed this immensely. I  love the melody, your emotive ability in a very tight range of notes. That is some excellent singing. The repeating piano works amazingly well, too. I really like the leads you add.

I think you have a tremendous voice...looking at your age I would say it gets hard to sing that well, for me for sure........wow...love the piano too... and the lyrics...obviously you have alot going on up there in your mind... based on all your musical throughput... and based on some of the other stuff I have heard you do you have a wide range of theatrical ability...

This is superb Trev. A really powerful song that's elegant in its simplicity. Loving the piano figures you have created here and they provide a great atmospheric backing for the vocals. The lead guitar is icing on the cake, the wah fits really well. And as for the lyrics, well they are so eloquent and impactful. And of course they resonate with me (and I suspect many other folks on here!).

Brilliant track. Loved it.
