Osckilo have been a great inspiration to many of us lately so when T asked me if I wanted to do a collab I was honored. I was a night at my cabin and recorded the guitarparts of this one ... Osckilo did the magic and I added some barely audible synth before final mix. I'll shut up now and let Osckilo take over :
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Geir asked us to write the preamble for this Track.

Osckilo are honored to oblige!

This is down in my "Favorite pieces of music of all time" Category!!!!

And I Get to introduce it!   Wicked!!!!  Thanks G!

G wrote this after a conversation about our heritage being different, but much the same!

The paths which have lead this piece to its present form are widespread.....

From Arab-Spain

To the Viking age distribution of Celtic culture in the 8th to the 11th century.......

The Diaspora of Celtic culture took these influences from areas  like Norway, to places as far away as Ireland!

The influences still have their place in modern culture

and have developed along the same path, yet........

Somewhat separately!  (Oh Lordi!)

Anyway....Norway seems to have Guitar under wraps.......

As does Geir who composed this piece and performed it to perfection!

This track reminds me of a scene from the 13th Warrior.....

Different cultures finding a common bond........

Through Music this time.... Maybe some Mead wouldn't go a miss!

Peace

This ones called "Where we are....."

Great Work G!!!!!

Beautiful, clean flowing and rhythmic - and sounds just leap out from everywhere, especially with headphones on. Love the production work!! Big time!!

Magic has been made.

Very cool culturally sounding instrumental!!

Great guitar work and background ambience fx!

I'm not sure if I feel like I'm at a cafe in Greece, Italy, Spain, or an Arabic place...I may need to listen a few more times....

Wow this is like something right off the world music station I get on my digital cable.

I love it, great work you guys. I think "magic" is exactly the right word I'd use to describe this treatment, Osckilo. Geir, excellent playing. It sounds so authentic.

All around amazing work, you guys!

Yeah, I think Greece is where this takes me as well - maybe not as musical roots, but the vibe it gives me reminds me of the atmosphere, ground, dust, walls, sky, smells, etc, from when I went there years ago...

I can also hear medieval in there, castles and chicks with big tall pointy hats  :D

It's very magical sounding.

I just realised that the title fits the feelings it invokes in me and what I ended up writing - spooky!

Lovely piece :)
