Samply Sounding Guitar and Crazy Vox, Anyone? (Apart /w ORH, Geir & Side Effect)

I got my bass back after a 400 mile round trip - cost more for the trip in gas than the wood I dragged home, but I got it! Last week I put down a couple tracks to celebrate - Realizing I need to practice after a long time away from the thing!

Anyway, I was checking in to see if anyone was up for helping me finish this song - Some fake synth sounding guitar and some interesting vox for the second half? Or anything that might have some shock value?

It's about being brought back from an operating table after a flat line - no point in getting into hairy details, but the second half of the song is about the return.

Would love to have outside influence for this one!

BTW - I am at my wit's end with the MBR's drum patterns - succumbed to them like a dog on the receiving end of a nose hit for this one, but that's it! I'm looking for a kit right now...

Wow! This is brilliant. I love the feel of this one - there are some great rhythmic ideas going on. For me, I think your existing vocals are more than enough to carry this song. I like the trippy, psychedelic tone to them - a bit like 'Don't Fear the Reaper' to my ears. So I think the second part should have some wild shred and kaosillator action going on. This is going to be a top track. Seriously love it.

p.s. the drums sound fine!

GREAT !!!  Love that bass, can't wait to get home and listen on some better speakers. I can agree with Tim on the BOC reference but the bass makes me think of dearly missed Phil Lynnot.

I'm sure you won't have trouble getting someone to put some interesting leads on this one !!

I agree with Ian Brown-esque vocal comments made by Ol' Rottski, which is by no means a bad thing.
Gotta agree with you about the Micro-BR's drums though. The song would be improved immeasurably with an alternative arrangement/sound.
Don't get me wrong, it's a bloody good song already. I just feel it could get even better!!
