The Cuzin's started out as four young kids playing music in a garage. They were terrible and drove the neighbors crazy with night after night loud music jams, head bangin' and parties. But little by little they started to sound like a real band. So much so that the neighbors got together and recommended them to play at a local club...more so just to get rid of the noise from the neighborhood.  Well that was the start of The Cuzin's long and lack luster career as a gigging band. Well 40 years went by with many gigs under their belts but by this time their belts were much larger than when they started. One night after a gig, as they unloaded their equipment, and began to throw back a few brews and light up as they had done so many times before. All of a sudden one of the members had an epiphany about starting a club called The No Name Hall of Fame which seemed to fit their situation perfectly. So they wrote a song about it and the club was a huge success, even if it only consisted of the four members of The Cuzin's.......and the rest is history. (all music and vox performed by Farrell Jackson)
No Name Hall of Fame
(V1) We'll keep on making music until the day we die
It's food for mind and body that keeps us young and spry
We've got notebooks full of words, written through the years
And the many gigs with stories we hold so near

(Chr) Another night, another year, another empty place
But deep into the evening it's time to celebrate
The time it's taken, the honor that we claim
Becoming a member of the no name hall of fame

(V2) Mean while we're waiting for the next big break
Hoping it gets here before it's too late
Looking to the upside for good vibrations
To catch the train before it's left the station

(Chr) Another night, another year, another empty place
But deep into the evening it's time to celebrate
The time it's taken, the honor that we claim
Becoming a member of the no name hall of fame

(Outro) We've got nothing but time, legends in our own minds
Our pictures are framed, in the no name...No Name Hall of Fame

Those things we take for granted - when we're young and immature - will surely return to haunt us when we're old and insecure

Good tune, and a good story, Farrell. Great playing, and I always enjoy your harmonies.
There are only three kinds of drummers. Those who can count, and those who can't.

Ah yes, good old rock n roll! Great lyrics and so true and you play great guitar, Farrell. Excellent track; well done.

This song is about most of us here Farrell, right? Because I fit the lyrics beautifully and have definitely been inducted into the no name hall of fame! ;D

This is great, I loved the guitar sounds and lead work, it really had my feet tapping and is damn catchy. The vocals are great as always, and I liked the way you did the percussion, gives it a very immediate feel.

But most of all I loved the concept, the lyrics and the back story. This line really sums up how I feel: "We'll keep on making music until the day we die, It's food for mind and body that keeps us young and spry". Great fun, a worthy entry to alter-ego fest!

Hilary

Fabulous - a great concept and song.

I know I'm always on to a winner listening to your songs.

Yikes! That was excellent.
Such a great recording Farrell,  the tones are also perfect. Vocals/ lyrics, this is great.  I  wish I could do something like this.
Congrats, as with every other tune you create, as Hilary said, you know they're going to be good.
