Little one, got a bit of writers block so this is where this came from, just write something.
Gretsch electromatic, Ibanez bass and br 80 drums.

I,ve been standing still
Singing the same old songs
Seeing the same four walls
Just getting along

Start up stand up, get it along
Even if it,s the same old song
Start up stand up, get it along
Then you,ll get a call

Fill my days up with utube vids and coffee
Do any of these days differ
Sit in this chair watch the seasons change
My guitars staring back at me

Switch off the TV grab a pen and paper
Start writing the same old line
Crunch it up throw it at the wall
Where did that get me

Then it just comes to me
Doing something is better than nothing at all
Writing a feeling can make it seem real
Making some music is what it,s all about for me

Good tune John! At first got the Pikes, "kiss me you fool", but it totally is  different than that.
Glad to see you're still putting out the tunes.

Good tune about a sore subject. We all go through it. I wrote a song about it myself a while back.
Love the sound of that Gretch, BTW.
There are only three kinds of drummers. Those who can count, and those who can't.

Redler

Nice groove here, John! This is a catchy song right at the first listening. Fine job on each way!

This is great. Bouncy pop but with a nice gritty edge on the vocal. Love that wide panning on the guitars with the bass and lead straight down the middle. Very catchy stuff - so good it sounds like a cover.

AndyR

Yeah, this works big time. BIG time.

For a song about not being to write a song... it's a hit!

And the mix is fab - that wide jangle, with this superb vocal in the middle. Love that vocal by the way... takes the song by the scruff of the neck!

John, have you had a spycam in my house? Because this song describes my world perfectly!

I loved this. Catchy, infectious and a call to action! Really liked the clarity of the mix and the lead sound is really cool. Great stuff.

Very well written SE! I like this style of writing and you've hit it out of the park. The gritty vocal, the jingle jangle of the rhythm guitar, and the mid-range laded lead guitar all fit together to make it a fine song and a great listen!
