Here is a vocal version with James kindly adding some vocals to my track...

It gives it a whole different feel with that edgy vocal with some cutting lyrics...

There may be a couple more versions of this track to come so stay tuned!!

Thank you Jim

there's never ant rhyme or reason

they can do just as they please

never questioning their motives

you're always marching to their beat

chorus

you know your place

you bend the knee

you wave the flag

on high

you doff your cap

i don't know why

for king and country

do or die

never mind it's just what happens

cos that's the way it's always been

you rally to the call for arms

cannon fodder for the beast

there's nothing i can say to change you

your loyalty lays with the crown

but they don't give a damn about you

you're just a pawn to push around

Nice job, guys! I got a nice 80's Brit pop vibe. A catchy tune indeed.

Love that jangly guitar and oh so true lyrically. Well produced song that rolls along so nicely.

I knew this would be great even before I pressed play.

The vocal takes an already great track to another level. Love those little downward chord shifts on the chorus (stunning!). James has come up with a brilliant vocal and lyric.

You should both be very pleased and satisfied with this one :-)

Great collab guys, this really does take the track to the next level. I'm getting a later Skids/Big Country vibe here, probably aided by Jim's lyrics, which as always are great. The vocals really work so well with this, nice work chaps!

Great work, guys. Music, lyrics, and Jim's voice all fit like a glove.
There are only three kinds of drummers. Those who can count, and those who can't.
