Kenneth sent me this last night, when i was stuck at work, first in a while so i was excited to get back home and do something with it. That is reflected in the lyrics i have a half hour drive home on tight country roads currently full of tourists, cyclists , tractors and caravans. i didn't have the bottle to overtake on the double white lines tho, that was a bit of poetic licence and wishful thinking on my part, 30 minute drive took 45 minutes. bugger. anyway music and backing vocals are all wonderfully done by Kenneth and i ranted over the top of it. it is what it is.

stuck behind a sunday driver
on a wednesday afternoon
trying to get home
twenty two cyclists
and a caravan
all in a row
overtaking
on a double white line
is not for the faint of heart
so bide your time
after the bend
the road is straight and true

your journey time
it did not factor
being stuck
behind a tractor
you only want
to get home
nothing else matters
foot to the floor
overtaking
on a double white line
is not for the faint of heart
so bide your time
after the bend
the road is straight and true

Nice new Honker song! Superb backer by Ken; nice sounding guitars and keyboard. Backing vocals sounds cool, too.

Orh's source of creativity is endless - is there any topic that you can't write a song... I value that.

Nice ambience to this track created by those cool backing vox and the synths. The song has a kinda 80's feel that works so well

Another immaculate Kenneth backer, and a very fine vocal / lyric from James. Love the dynamic between the driving, pulsing menace of the verses and the soaring choruses. This is a great band!

Kenneth put down a great base track here... wonderful and weird too. It's quite intense and brooding. Some great vocals and lyrics too. Fantastic lads.

Oh this is great! Love the backer, great atmospheres and synths. The arpeggios behind the chorus-y sections are fab, and I particularly enjoyed the bass sound. Jim's vocals fit really well and are brilliantly performed as well. I couldn't help cracking up at the lines "your journey time
it did not factor being stuck behind a tractor"!

Brilliant work chaps, really enjoyed this one.

I was going to comment on that too... Fell about laughing.

Superb track chaps.

It's interesting, with folks saying "pink floyd mebbe?" on my last one, I've been listening to Pink Floyd a lot, and Peter Gabriel era Genesis.

I'm hearing Pink Floyd in everything now!! Especially this and Kenneth's Sourpuss earlier (check that out folks if you haven't, WOW).
Can't tell you why, or which bit(s), but I'm getting Pink Floyd and Hawkwind here...

Who cares though, this is it's own thing and is utterly FAB :)

Great writing from immediate observation and experience. It's actually inspiring, since I am afflicted by writer's block quite often. Great music, and use of that music to express an event.
There are only three kinds of drummers. Those who can count, and those who can't.
