you can call me anything you like.  Just don't call me late for dinner

Very classy blues. Love the slide work gliding over the mellow organ, and that sixties-sounding Hammond part is brilliant. Very fine songwriting and performance. Wish I could play blues harmonica like that!

Wow excellent track, played all the way through for me.
Im interested, whats your recording set up and what mic did you use?
Its crystal clear.

Nice work Ray,

Sounds like this might not be your first recording?

I really liked it and tapped my foot along with the entire song.

I loved the arrangement with the various little instrumental cameos and then the organ solo.

I'm also interested to know if you played everything and how you are set up.

cheers,

Ian

It played all the way through here. Really like this, laid back piece.  Great vocals , relaxedme actually.  Nice work!

Thanks for the kind words, guys; much appreciated. My 'studio' setup is quite basic really and I'll summarise it: firstly my DAW is Logic Pro X which I have only just started using after being a Cubase acolyte for 30 years or so. My instruments are a 6 and a 12 string acoustic guitar, an Ibanez bass guitar and a Fender Strat. I also use Lee Oscar blues harps as I find them better or easier for bending notes. My keyboard is a Yamaha 88 key something or other and for an audio interface I use Presonus Studio 6/8. So, all very basic and I'm running it all on a Mac 27" Oh, nearly forgot - my condenser mic is an Australian made Rode NT1000 that I use for my crap vocals and mic-ing up my acoustic guitars etc. I can not play drums to save my life so I have to program them in as best I can; one day I'll invest in a proper drummer software program so to make life a little easier.

Yeah I got that "I'm going to like this" pretty early too. Yeah great stuff Ray. It's very bluesy but in really subtle way which is very neat. Slide very tastefully done and the harmonica outro is the icing on the cake. I love my blues so looking forward to hearing more!
