I first heard this song when I was 13 in fact in 1978, on the Live at the Roxy 1977 record.

I've always loved it and recently I figured it out on the uke. I realised that the lyrics actually do still resonate, it's like there's a part of me that will always be 15.

Anyway, first post in ages. Hope you are all well

I don't know this one, but it's really nice. Your vocal fits very well and the arrangement you have made is excellent.

Nice one Nick.

I don't know it either but it's a great cover and so good to see you back on the board Nick!

Not familiar to me, but it sounds great. Great vibe and arrangement. Mellow but spiky. The bass and drums sound so good with those wide-panned ukes. Excellent vocal too.

Cool! And nice to see you around.

Aah, brings back so many memories. Used to play this album to death (although Wire were my faves). This is a great cover, I actually prefer it to the original. Vocals are great and the backing adds a bit more light and shade to the song. Nice work Nick!

Maybe we should do a "Live at the Roxy" covers festival. I did a cover of "Lowdown" many years ago on here, always looking for an excuse to do 12XU. And Hilary could do a great Poly Styrene..... :D

I'm not familiar with the song either, but you have a cool and unique sound. Nice instrumentation, and your voice fits it well.
There are only three kinds of drummers. Those who can count, and those who can't.

Yeah, very well done Nick. Got a strange ethereal vibe to it. Great vocal on this one.

This came up on the on-this-day jukebox yesterday.

I noticed how quiet the mix was so I've done a new master on it.

It's a song which would be relevant for the 1977 fest.

Memories are treasures, and this one is a gem.
I am not familiar with this song, and I love that I heard this from you.
Thanks for sharing this beautiful rendition.
