Hi all, it's a bit of a dark ballad but I hope you enjoy.      Willie

Fender Precision Gretsch Electromatic

I remember when the sun shone
Everyday, it seemed that way
But now my sun has gone away
It's disappeared
Won't be back they say

Now I'm staring straight into space
I see you face, and I feel your grace
But memories fade, and they drift away
But I'm still with you everyday.

But I'm not one for letting go
I'm holding on and on and so
St Peters waiting at his gate
You'll have to tell him
I may be late

"cos I'm staring straight into space
I see you face, I feel your grace
But memories fade, and they drift away
But I'm still with you everyday.

Instrumental

I remember when the sun still shone
Everyday, it seemed that way
But now my sun has gone away
It's disappeared
Won't be back they say

Great song, Willie. Love the poignant lyrics and the arrangement.
There are only three kinds of drummers. Those who can count, and those who can't.

Love it.
I likes me a dark ballad :)

This is gorgeously melancholy in an accepting kind of way. Great for letting the listener share the sadness vicariously... and, by the end, feel uplifted for it.

That's why I like a certain kind of sad song... and this is one of them.

Nice one :)

Is just a piece of paper
To say a few lines
Make up my mind
So she can read it later

Loving this one Willie. Great lyrical guitars and superb harmonies. I loved the chorus changes and vocals. Like Andy, I like a dark song with an edge in the lyrics and you delivered on this one. Excellent stuff.

Great tune.  Sounds like so many real feelings went into this.

The lyric may be a bit 'dark', but I find the guitars and harmonies very soothing and uplifting. Great production, tone and playing - as always. Really like the way you panned the 'rhythmic' and 'long strum' guitar parts. Sounds so good.

Farrell Jackson

Those are some lovely, melodic guitar solo passages Willie! The lyric are a bit dark and contain a sad reality that hits close to home for many I'm sure. But the beautifully done supporting music helps offset the darkness. Well done and it's great to hear you're still at it!

If this was on the radio,i would know it was you,you have a very distinctive sound.
The guitar work is so clear, you can hear every string ring on those chords.
Nice one.
