..I didn't know Peter Green well as a guitarist.
He passed away a few days ago and while searching for information about the guitar staff who played with John Mayall https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_John_Mayall_band_members
I learned that he succeeded Clapton as lead guitarist in 1966 in the bluesbrakers, then he founded with Mike Fleetwood the band Fleetwood Mac.
I've been listening to his discography these days and as the great BB King used to say, "He's the only white guy to ever make me sweat."

I decided to cover the Albatross song on guitar and weissenborn... it's a simple 2 chord tune I think that reminds me a little bit of Eric Satie's number one gymnopedy, which I did a version of and I'm offering it here, waiting for my version of Albatross.

material: Takamine Hirade nylon, DAW Reaper and effects Guitar rig 5 and CLA wave guitar

RIP Peter Green

I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

I really like Satie. This is very ambitious to play / cover on guitar, but you did it! Amazing skills and tone. And also very relaxing - left me wanting more.

merci greeny
I like very much the guitar adaptations of Eric Satie's repertoire, originally composed for piano.
I had a period of a few years where I played a lot of classical guitar (self-taught) and I sometimes put some pieces of this repertoire here on SC

for you the "no effect" version (just a zest of reverb)
...I think I prefer this version of Gymnopedy No. 1, after all... ;)

Ah lovely, I too am a Satie fan, I have played the Trois Gymnopedies for a long time, simple to play, hard to get right.

I've not heard No.1 played on guitar before. Very nice.

There are another two...

Beautifully done JP, I love this piece of music and you did it justice. I prefer the cleaner version myself.

Frank53

Beautiful guitar adaptation. The only classical piece I can play is Cage's 4'33". :)
There are only three kinds of drummers. Those who can count, and those who can't.

Quite beautiful, JP - I prefer the second one you posted, which is the more delicate.
