Here's a song from back in the days of when many of us were just kids looking forward to the carnival coming to town:

"Around We Go"
presented by the Circus Freaky Busted Boomer Band
(tm) 1965
--------------------------------------------
Round n round n round we go
Where we stop nobody knows

Some will leave and some will stay
Some will even have to play
------
Spin the wheel, take a chance
Might win big or lose your pants

Either way you'll have some fun
Why not stay no need to run
------
Got to try and win your way
Step right up - have a laugh today

No point moping & being blue
Just look at all we have for you
------
Here today - gone tomorrow
Lifes too short for feeling sorrow

The carnival now has come to town
Admission's cheap just loose the frown

I removed the Alt Ego Fest banner since I've been informed only new songs qualify and this is from 2015.  Sorry for that.  :-[

What a mover - I love the latino influence, the lead guitar is fantastic.

I think I'd like this carnival
We are here on Earth to fart around. Don't let anybody tell you any different
- Kurt Vonnegut.

AndyR

Yeah, loving that lead guitar dancing around the vocals. The rhythm guitar is pretty cool too.

I felt pretty breathless by the end... it's a bit of a party.

   All that I need
Is just a piece of paper
To say a few lines
Make up my mind
So she can read it later
When I'm gone

Thanks for the good words.  It's an oldie but happened to think it might fit the fest theme...sort of?

Ha! My vox couldn't even keep up with the music! Some fun!

Those Busted Boomers sure know how to party! Great vibe here and some great guitar playing, there's a lovely sound on that guitar that matches the vibe really well. A really fun track that must have been quite hard to do.....

Let's hope there's more carnival music from Circus Freaky.

Greeny

That's some tasty carnival groove. Great swing to everything, and the lead guitar is amazing. High quality song and performance.

thetworegs

That was good Ken. Love your vocal on this and you got some really nice lines going on the guitar, some great natural feeling there, really swinging. I like the Carnival theme too.

the minor/latino mood mixed with the happy lirics perfectly render the happysad feeling of the circus (and carnival of course), to me. Well done!
for some reasons, I hear some echoes of red hot chili peppers somewhere, and, in a more obscure way, some words combinations reminded me of nick drake's At the Chime of a City Clock (I know I know, gone too far ;-)
