One Antihistamine by Oldrottenhead feat:Flash Harry

Was messing about with mic positioning again, trying to record my jasmine acoustic. Got interrupted by the good sir flash, who gave advice on mic positioning and also offered to play some bass if anything happened with my messing/experiment. lyric is inspired by the abundance of insects up the kilpatrick hills, which i walk regularly with Mrs Rottenhead and our dog barney (when i say walk i mean i try to keep up with them). A couple of cleg bites on my elbow are doing my knitting in, without medication my elbow would be clawed to the bone.

Now this sounds much better to my ears. The acoustic and vox are much clearer and although the vox do get a bit loud at times, they don't peak and become boomy. The bass is really nice and gives a great anchor to the dreamy guitars. And although the song subject might seem a little humourous, there's some quite deep lines in there, I really liked "I'm tough as leather but weaker than sin".

Glad your experimenting turned out some great music!

I really like the way the bass anchors down the slightly off-kilter / ramshackle (in a good way) guitar. The lyric is very cool. The line 'The weight of gravity' really appeals to me. Fantastic collab and performances.

I had to look up "cleg" - damn, horsefly bites are the worst! Bloody bloodsuckers...

I really like how your miked-up guitar sounds on this, especially around the 2:40 mark. Lots of air and clarity.
