It is what it is.

What are you going to do to make things better
What are you going to do to change the world
What are you going to leave for the children
What are you going to do that's not for you
You selfish bastard

When are you going to stop being an arsehole
When are you going to try and do what's right
When are you going to think about tomorrow
Not yesterday last week or tonight
Who was that guy that told that story
The guy that always spoke in tongues
The guy that everyone took with a pinch of salt
Now taken so seriously
The lying bastard

Can you just imagine for one minute
Imagine how different things could be
But don't be scared don't be frightened
Or you will never be free
From lying bastards
When they tell you what they want you to hear
Sometimes it can be so comforting
To dream the dreams they want you to dream
With no imagination
You need to think outside of the box
Dream your dreams of dreams
Set an example for others
Walk the talk and talk the walk
Ya truth telling bastard

Ouch, do I detest some hostility there?  If you were in the USA I'd be sure you were talking about Trump.....  Nice vibe going on with the piece otherwise. 8)

BTW, what effects setting you using on your vocals with the BR?  Sounds very chill-wave!

not hostility more disappointment about humanity in general.  ;D ;D the settings i used for vocals on the MicroBR was the fornylon setting, tweaked with noise suppression turned on and recorded to two track to give a faux stereo effect with the tap delay floating round the stereo spectrum.

i was gonna call the song S.O B. but in my slight scottish brogue i felt bastard worked better and had more impact.

A song about every second comment on Facebook.

A song about almost every mains politician.

When you get to our age, you do get tired of this shit.

Maintain the rage.

It would be nice to imagine that it could change but we keep inventing things that consolidate and amplify it.

Thanks Jim

Could apply to the entire Tory cabinet of lying, populist shit-weasels.

I love it. There's such a clarity on the production, and the bass sounds massive. Love that chiming, dreamy guitar and the vocal is outstanding. Bravo!

Loving this one Jim, especially the vocals. The effect you created with just the little old MBR is really clever and sounds fantastic. The guitar tracks are getting deeper and dreamier, and the bass sounds great as well. Nice work all round.

You always let your anger be an energy (as someone once said.... :)). Keep it that way.

Well...I think that in every part of the world each one of us is living, we all have in mind someone to dedicate this song...and this makes this song a very important song, since it becomes UNIVERSAL.

Bravo James.

Cool track!! The production works well, too. I got Jesus & Mary Chain vibe at around 2 minutes>
