Faded
Yellow and pink like a found polaroid
jaded
down on the ground like a found polaroid

sunlight got inside the lens
my out of context beehive friends
from liverpool to istanbul

it's like a bleached out memory
of everything we used to be
the kings and queens of unknown scenes

Faded
Yellow and pink like a found polaroid
jaded
down on the ground like a found polaroid

kitsch and drunken escapades
up and down the esplanade
the monkey on your shoulder screams

it's like a bleached out memory
of everything we used to be
the kings and queens of unknown scenes

Faded
Yellow and pink like a found polaroid
jaded
down on the ground like a found polaroid

Wow - lyrically AMAZING!

Jangly and jumpy - cool.

But the title and the idea... that's what floored me this time... amazing powers of observation and expression... and then keeping it open enough for the listener/reader to paint their own picture, tell their own story, without feeling constrained by what you're saying... yeah, for me, that's my favourite type of lyrics :)

Another fabulous song Tim. I like it all, but for some reason the vocals grabbed me. The combination of the lyrical structure and the way you sing the harmonies really makes this one for me, especially at the "faded" and "jaded" parts. Great songwriting. I also love the jangly guitars and the fab bass work and as always these days, the crystal clear production and great use of the stereo image.

Lovely work. Off for a few more listens......

You have some idiosyncratic progressions which mark your musical style with a big bold stripe, and then you just layer creativity all over it, every track yours, every track fresh and new.

Love this, Andy's right about the observer in you, lyrically fab, musically fab and how you get this quality or of an MBR I will never know.

Oh and harmonies...

Lovely warm sound from the mix. That jangly guitar sound is super and you have sprinkled it perfectly to enhance the tune. I fact all the elements get to shine... as the parts weave around each other. Super stuff... fantastic.

Catchy number even on the first listening. Like James said, here's a bit Monochrome Set vibe...

So fine job, again.
