This originally started off as an oldrottenhead solo project, but i was awaiting a new bass guitar (which arrived today  :)) so whilst i was waiting on that arriving i asked Flash harry to add some bass, he did and the results can be heard here https://songcrafters.org/forum/index.php?topic=29702.0

However things developed and i asked Greeny to add backing vocals , he did that but he also added some lovely tremolo guitar.  i sent all the bits to Flash for mixing as i was busy at work. I am totally delighted with what has come out the other end.

anyway

It Is What It Is.

Well here I am, lost again
I took a wrong turn, where? Or when?
But I'll just keep on, just keepin' on
Ever forward, onward
Into the sun
Into the sun

Lookin' lookin' for a guiding star
Something to hang, hang my hopes on
Crashing through the night, into the dawn
Ever forward, onward
Into the sun
Into the sun

Sometimes I don't know how
Sometimes I don't know when
Often I don't know why
Maybe it's time I called a friend

Well I know that life is good
If you're lucky just like me
If it's hard you'll need a friend
To take your hand and guide you
Into the sun

Fine composition fellows! Smooth and tranquil vibe. Harmonies just took me away. As always, a stellar performance and production.

Great tune JK! I love the feel of it. I liked the first version, but with additions by Time and Mike this is even better! Bravo guys!

Just beautiful guys. This is so good, that gentle rhythm pulls you along. Those backing vocals are perfect as is that great bass. A keeper... loved it.

Life is not about the number of Breathes you take, it is the amount of times your breathe is taken away

Loving this more "embellished" version. Tim's additions give it a little more depth and I really liked the backing vox. The mix is great as well, Mike did a really good job here. Very nice work all round, a worthy addition to the JK playlist!
